Not if you plan your trip properly and follow the wise words we have for you, acquired through Personal Experience abroad in June 2008.

This is not just a bunch of words cobbled together online, this is protecting you and your Children (if you have any) from many hundreds of Mosquito borne diseases.

Mosquitoes carry various types of bacteria, viruses, and parasites, and the worst of these is Malaria, Yellow Fever, Encephalitis, Nile Fever and Dengue Fever.

INTERESTING FACT: Mosquitoes kill more people every year than any other animal on the Planet !

These mosquito borne diseases kill many millions of children every year in tropical countries, where you are no doubt headed to, with real wonder and anticipation of a Fun Holiday in your mind.

The Mighty Mosquito is waiting for You, and being several millions of years older than mankind, it has evolved into the Perfect Blood Sucker in it’s highly unusual life cycle.

How does the Mosquito find you in the first place ?

Mosquitoes detect the carbon dioxide in your exhaled breath and then fly upwind along the air draughts to locate the source of it, ie. YOU !

They don’t have great vision, but if you move they can see the movement in daytime or at night as they have Night Vision capability – they can see Infra Red Light – that is they see warm/hot things clearly in pitch black darkness and you are giving of that Invisible Warm Light from every inch of your juicy body in the dark.

Also they can detect your sweat to be able to home in on you, land on your bare skin, and they insert their dirty, infected, syringe-style needle (Proboscis) into your flesh and then start gorging themselves on your lifeblood.

Here’s your ULTRA URGENT TO DO LIST OF FIVE ITEMS  before you climb into your Airport Transfer Taxi and fly off to meet the many Mosquito Battalions awaiting you in hot countries.

1.   Buy plenty of Mosquito Repellent in the form of Skin Moisturizing Cream with high levels of DEET in the cream, to rub generously on bare areas of skin, e.g. face, neck, hands, feet if your are wearing sandals etc.      In particular I recommend the ones that have UV protection also in the Cream - to protect yourself against Skin Cancer, Skin Aging & Sun Burn.
This should be used at times that you are most at risk on Holiday ie. if you are outdoors in the night, at dawn or in the evening when the vast majority of "Mozzies" are hunting for you.
Please note this cream lasts about 5 hours approx as it vaporizes, rubs off or gets washed away by your sweat – so you must therefore always keep some Cream close at hand, in your pocket/handbag for further application in the day if necessary.

2.   Book a hotel that has a constant un-interrupted electricity supply, and with excellent air conditioning in your room.
Not only will you then be able to sleep peacefully, but also the cold air has a slight deterrent effect on the “Kitos” as they don’t like the cold or the breeze.

3.   Make sure that you take with you an ample supply of two inch wide Rolls of Sticky Tape.
This is to seal any potential door or window cracks and/or gaps that you may or may not find in your Holiday Hotel Room.

4.   Open and close any doors and windows of your Room with speed.
This will reduce the likelihood of any Un-invited Speedy Flying Blood Suckers getting into your room as they only require a second or two to enter and cause fatal diseases.

5.   Take some small electric plug-in Mosquito Killing Equipment (don’t forget the travel adaptor) with plenty of the vaporizable tablets that you insert into them.
This is just in case you fail to keep the enemy out of your room. Please be aware these tablets only work for 8 hours and then you must insert a new one just before bedtime – otherwise you may wake up with Mosquito Bite Sores on your body (Thanks But No Thanks!) but only if you are sleeping in a vulnerable room.
